Iranian Kurdish Party's Office Comes under Fire in Sulaimaniya: Official.

The office of one of the wings of the Kurdish Iranian Komala party in Sulaimaniya province came under fire overnight on Tuesday by unidentified armed men, the party said.
Talking to BasNews, Farzin Karbasi, head of the relations of the Kurdistan Toilers' Party (KZP) in Sulaimaniya, said that the gunmen were in a black colored car when they fired at the facility twice, adding that the security forces soon after the incident reached the scene.
He pointed that apart from the administrative issues, the building is also used as a shelter for a few families related to their Peshmerga forces.
The official further noted that they first suspected the shooting incident to be a trap for a bigger attack.
"But fortunately, there were no further attacks," Karbasi said.
Concerning any possible offensives by Iran on the Kurdish party, the official said that even though the Islamic Republic currently suffers from several internal and international issues, it is still possible for the country to conduct such attacks.
He also called on the security forces in the Kurdstan Region as well as the people to cooperate with them in preserving the stability of the region.
"We call on the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) to secure us. We already have no complaints [about their performance], but the enemy does what it wishes to do anyway," Karbasi concluded.
