France Condemns Iranian Missile Strike in Koya
The French government has condemned the deadly missile strike Iran carried out last Saturday on the positions of Iranian Kurdish opposition parties in the Kurdistan Region.
“France
reaffirms the importance of respecting Iraq’s sovereignty and reiterates
its concern over the development of Iranian missile programs, and to
their transfers in the region,” Foreign Ministry said in a briefing on
Wednesday.
“The
French President and the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs have
regularly raised our concern over Iran’s regional activities with
Iranian officials,” according to ministry’s website.
The
attack on 8th September targeted the headquarters belonging to Kurdistan
Democratic Party of Iran (PDKI) and the Iranian Kurdistan Democratic
Party (KDP-Iran).
It claimed the lives of 16 people and wounded at least 42 others, including women and children.
